What is a blog?
Short for Web log, a blog is a Web
page that serves as a publicly accessible personal journal
for an individual or as a communication tool for businesses.
Regularly updated, blogs often reflect the personality of
the author.
Postings are arranged in reverse chronological order –
meaning the most recently added article appears first, followed
by the second most recently added article and so on.
Unlike traditional websites, weblogs give you the opportunity
to connect. You post content and others can post their responses.
The possibilities for blogs are endless! For personal use,
consider creating a weblog about your vacations, family celebrations
or other special events. Or perhaps a sports forum or a way
to keep league teams connected. How about as a place to post
and share all of your photos?
For businesses, blogs have become ideal for communicating
between departments and project teams as well as being a great
way to build and maintain customer relationships.

Will everyone on the World Wide Web have access to what I
post?
The choice is up to you. With Blogware, you can easily restrict
access to categories of information to individuals or specific
groups of people. You assign permission to who you’d
like to have access. Readers that do not have permission will
not see the category and therefore, will not be able to access

Once readers subscribe to your weblog, they will receive

– depending on their preference.
You readers can also request an RSS feed. This option is
also added through the Layout tab located in the navigation
bar of your Control Panel under Look and Feel. It is one of

What is an RSS feed?
Webopedia.com defines RSS as:
Short for RDF Site Summary
or Rich Site Summary,
(or Really Simple Syndicate)
an XML format for syndicating Web content. Syndicating or
syndication is the sharing of content between different websites.
A Web site that wants to allow other sites to publish some
of its content creates an RSS document and registers the document
with an RSS publisher. A user that can read RSS-distributed
content can present this content on another site. Syndicated
content includes such data as news feeds, events listings,
news stories, headlines, project updates, excerpts from discussion
forums or even corporate information. Or in this case –
your blog posts!
With Blogware, adding an RSS feed is easy – it does
all the work for you. You simply add RSS feeds by dragging
the RSS component to your blog as part of defining your Layout.
Layout tools are under the Look and Feel tab located in the
navigation of your Control Panel.
If one of your blog’s readers has an RSS aggregator
(a tool which reads RSS feeds), they simply click on the RSS
link. Now every time you update your blog, they receive an
update through their RSS aggregator.

- A list of trackbacks will appear. Select the offending trackback spam by clicking on the checkboxes next to the trackback(s).
- Click on the Delete button located at the top of the trackback list OR click on the Delete and Block button.
The Delete button removes the offending trackback spam from your blog.
